Kisuke Urahara: Benihime (Crimson Princess) [link]

Boy where do i start this is by far the hardest sword i have made. I have put in ALOT of time and have been working on and off for one month. This sword is handmade with no power tools (except a drill) out of strip pine wood and its full tang. I hate using a black marker for the details on the sword i would like to add plus making the gold lace, red knot and red tassle XD

I would like to give a BIG thanks to Dinodude73 since he did a benihime he gave me lots of help especially the knot part.

Aww well done! It's awesome to see you coming out with this and this sword looks very cool indeed. :3

Question is though (if you don't mind me asking), why don't you use power tools? Don't like them? They might help you out a bit. :3

BAM! This thing floors me man.
It is very well done.
Is it all made out of one piece of wood or did you use multiple pieces for the guard?

Just as a progress report I found the aluminum stock for Hozukimaru and I am getting ready to shape it this weekend. :D

The princess is pretty (: You've done a marvelous job.

Oh and I know how they do the hilt wrapping on swords, are you interested?

When you defend, don't let them cut you.
When you protect someone, don't let them die.
When you strike. Kill.

"This thing floors me man" metal > wood enough said XD I used 2 pieces of wood for the guard and used woodfiller to seal the gap ^^ Your going ahead with hozukimaru? I cant wait XD

They would help me out abit its just my dad wont let me touch them and I dont feel safe with them becuase Im still an amatuer swordsman XD. I say power tools get the job done quicker but not always safer. Doing it with power tools mens its ALOT longer but ALOT safer XD. I most likely will use power tools on later works when i grow up its just if i can use hand tools to make a sword without the need of power tools i will ^^

Ooh that's okay then. I was just wondering if you just didn't think power tools were worth it or something but if you're going to work towards them then that's a good thing to. I know my friend uses power tools to make her props. She says she's got a pic of her sanded down keyblade (before painting and final touches) if you want to see it. :3
