Rangiku Matsumoto: Haineko (Ash Cat) [link]
:bulletblue: Blade Length: 30 inches
:bulletblue: Handle Length: 10 inches
:bulletblue: Total Length: 40 inches

This sword is handmade with no power tools (except a drill) out of strip pine wood and its full tang. The fourth sword is finished of the Second Bleach Sword Project. It has been about 2 months since my last Sword Upload so I thought I might as well show you another sword since it is my 2nd DA anniversary.

Now this sword is not much different, however I will say I think yet again I have improved my swordmaking skills. Though this is mostly in the area of the tsukamaki. I remember the times when I was making my old swords how I always had such trouble doing the tsukamaki. However using a material alot stronger then ribbon, I am talking about shoe laces it worked alot easier. Now since I do not have a cap for the hilt I just had to cut off the end and sow the ends together to make it clean. Other than that not much else to say really.

So simple yet so brilliant, and then again it doesn't look *that* simple. But wow, I really love the look of this and everything. Nice work again XD

Very very good Chioky, it looks flawless, I cant really find anything wrong with it. Even the very close shots look very good :)

HOLY SNIPER!

It's easy to say that this is one of your best swords:
The blade looks perfectly smooth, the tsuba is very well done and the entire handle looks authentic.
You should be proud!

using shoelace is a stroke of genius!
now why didn't i think of that...
is the wrapping technique with shoelace the same as with ribbon, or did you use a different method?
also, what did you use to create the ray skin effect?
:iconcaptain0marauding:
Brilliant work once again, chioky. I love the handle wrap, and the tsuba. and the blade's curve has perfection. Excellent piece.
