These swordmaking tutorials are aimed towards swordmakers and propmakers, however anybody is free to use them at their own leisure to try swordmaking.

Right were almost at the end of swordmaking. When you are tottally sure everything I mean all the parts of your sword are free from dust and grime and that all details are correct, that you may comence painting. Remember you put white primer first to bring out the colours of the spray paint. Then you use gloss to seal the colours of the spray paint. You have got to make sure not to over spray the sword that you start seeing drips. Take your time spray one coat and wait for that one to dry before spraying again. You have got to make sure the consitency of the paint if flawless throughout the sword. Once all the parts are painted your all ready to move on the final stage where you fix everything together.

Hi, I'd like to clarify something. What thickness do you use for each strip of wood? You mentioned using strip pine wood of 1cm thickness, but I noticed the tsuba holes are only 5mm thick. I'm confused..
