Featuring other artists is an act of great generosity, as it allows others to shine in the spotlight from your own audience. Unearthing the hidden talent on DeviantArt and presenting it to eveybody is a spectacle to see. However simply having a small section to feature artists on my journal every week proved to be too ineffective. So a better idea came to me, by creating a seperate journal, I can copy paste all the features of artists I have done from my weekly journals in this space.

You know not everybody makes swords the same way as like another swordmaker would, that might sound pretty obvious, but that is because some swordmakers can make swords that you would have never dreamed imaginable, and he is a great example of that. When you look at this guys swords, the first thing that might catch your eye is that they look pretty damn realistic! maybe it is the perfect curve of the blade? or maybe it is that the blade does actually look like steel? or maybe even the perfect tsukamaki?, I would call him an illusionist also than just a swordmaker. This is because some of his swords, if not all are made of ice cream sticks! I kid you not he has developed away through countless hours of experimentation and construction to build a realistic sword while using tinfoil or aluminium leaf to wrap the blade to give it a shine only steel could produce!

You know you can tell apart swordmakers from one another by the amount of determination they have that they put into their swordmaking. There are some that like to make fantastic swords and then give up the practise after only a few swords. However there are some swordmakers that start off slowly and make some decent swords, but their determination is so strong that they cannot simply put down their tools. And so they continue swordmaking using a drive that comes from their inner desire to constantly make a sword better than the last and this guy has that determination. You can just tell by taking a peek into his gallary and see the huge amount of swords he has! he is different from your normal propmaker, because all of his swords, are of his own design! so he does not just have some solid determination but he is creative as well.

You know for some odd reason, I thought I knew all the swordmakers on DeviantArt because the community was so small, but I had happened to not see this sterling swordmaker all this time! And it is always a great pleasure to see loads of swords by one swordmaker you have never seen before, this is so you get hit with the full impact of their awesomeness at once. And of course his swords are pretty awesome since they are all made at a very high level of skill. They look like nice solid swords that tick all the boxes when it comes to construction, material, painting and such and yet he has been able to maintain this quality throughout his swordmaking. So what do we know from this? well thats easy! that means he is always going to get better every sword he makes! and it is that ability that I think makes him a truly sterling swordmaker.

Now she might just seem like your any old average swordmaker making their mark on DeviantArt and you might be thinking whats so special? well her swords are actually way more intresting then meets the eyes, well first of all, there not actually made of soild wood! No these swords were made through the process of making a wood structure, like using wooden dowels and then using cardboard as an exterior skin! The first time I saw this process of swordmaking I was very suprised! most swords I have seen are ussually made out of solid piece of materials, but she has been creative enough to think up of a way to make swords differently. And when you know how to make swords differently you are breaking the mould! of course this could not be achieved if she was not hard working, slowly but surely her swords will evolve into somthing else.

Theres nothing better than seeing a young swordmaker get to grips with his talent and set of skills to make wonderfull swords! However the swords this guy makes aren't just made well, but they look really sleek and if you can tell what a swordmaker is like from the swords they made, heh well then I guess we have a sleek gentleman here indeed!. He started slowly on DeviantArt with two swords, two very good quality swords, and then bam! It is like he became a new swordmaker over night and started producing these very high quality swords that any owner could be proud of. All the materials chosen to make the sword are of course well thought out, theres no cheap short cuts in his swordmaking, he is using the right skills for the job. He has consistently always shown us very high quality swords and he always will I bet.

This women started off slowly as a young swordmaker gathering experience and knowledge from a whole range of sources. Slowly but surely her talents and skill sets were growing and becoming much more refined, soon she was undertaking projects which her past self would almost deem impossible. However she has now almost, if not, reached her prime! Her skills have become so advanced that she has evloved from the basic form of swordmaking and is now very well capable of of acomplishing any task given to her as a propmaker! The large assortment of props she has made over her DA life keeps growing larger and larger, while becoming much more polished in quality! She just keeps on making and making props with no end in sight, it is almost as if she needs a safety line otherwise she would be lost in the mountain of her own work!

Whenever I picture Miss ice-sabre in my mind, all I can think of is her bright an radiant smile. It might seem common, however I believe her to be one of the few people who truly love swordmaking, so much so it is like they can't stop! You can see her love and devotion in every sword she makes, her endless effort and charismatic concentration allows her to continually make swords of such splendor and skill that they could baffle and suprise even the most mightiest of masters! I would also like to add she is as kind and gracefull as angels. You always wonder where she gets her drive and determination, to make swords upon swords of wonderfull swords!, who knows, all I know for sure is that her talent and skill are far too underrated and it should be let shouted across the world that an an amazing swordmaker lives in the phillipines!

Miss Typhoid Mary has always been a dominating force in the world of swordmaking, on deviantArt. She has such a huge and regal status in the community that I like to call her the "Queen of Swordmaking". I say swordmaking but she is actually incredibily talented in all area's of propmaking, why just one look into her gallary will leave you stunned and speachless. All of her swords and such are all of completely different designs derived from all sorts of animes, manga's and games. She always strives for a challenge when it comes to a new project and she always delivers only the finest of awe inspiring work. History will always remember her as one of the most important and pinnacle pillars that held up the commuity of swordmaking on DA. Only constant and eternal fame awaits her in the future.

So when this guy first started swordmaking he made quite alot of swords, however they only had okey quality. When got back to swordmaking after taken a break the quality of his sword he made shot up so high I thought someone had hacked his account and put their work on there. The difference of the swords he has made now and before is so great it is unbelieable. So without a doubt he has to be the most improved swordmaker I have ever seen on DeviantART. It is like he suddenly got a wake up call and he tried new techniques, new materials, new ways to make a sword better. With this determination in mind he has now made some amazing swords that are fashionable and constructive. If he keeps improving at this rate he will indeed be one of DeviantART' greatest ever swordmakers. There is simply no end to his improvement.

Whenever I look at this guys work, there is always somthing so terribly simplistic about how they look, and I dont mean this in a bad way. Simplicity is a form of Art and he has been able to represent it through swordmaking, which is very cool. To put it bluntly the swords that he makes have a perfect shape and form, yet the surfaces and paintjob all look flawless. Sure they might not have detail but this is the beauty of simplicity, the swords just look so perfect and pure when left all alone. The sheer level of cleanliness of the swords is remarkable, you cannot see any marks of any kind, which means the swords have a very high quality image. Heck even some professionals would have difficulties making swords of such a flawless nature. It is like he makes swords and never makes a single mistake! can you just imagine if he added detail? he might become even more awesome!

This guy is like the king of long sword making, you know that he likes the western swords seeming as how his entire gallary is filled to the brim with them. This mmakes a nice change seeing as how most swordmakers would like to make a katana. So we know Maethori likes to set himself apart, yet its not only this fact that makes him awesome, he makes the long swords really damn well. Firstly they are made of quality wood, and they are shaped and formed to perfection to really bring out the quality of the sword. Yet to go one step further he even likes to put in a good level of detail on the swords to really make the swords look fashionable. Indeed I think he is a very capable swordmaker because not only can he make them of high quality, but he can make quite alot of them as well! He is only going to become even more awesome.

If you look at his work, you know that he likes to be different then the rest, he wants to make stuff that out of new stuff that nobody would dare try. Yes he is very creative and always loves to undertake a challenge, no matter how blindingly difficult it may seem to the rest of us. When it comes to swordmaking, 90% of the time it will be attempted with wood or any other basic material. However he decided to use sheet metal, he wanted to make a real sword with some real weight and not just a simple imitation. And it was this style of swordmaking that made him different, he attempted a style that we would not dare do, either we were too unskilled or did not have the tools. Yet he undertook the challenge and he is been very successfull and when you look at swords made of sheet metal you think "yeah you can kill a person with this easily".

There is somthing wierd about this guy, hes work is just too damn good, its friggin unbelievable. He may not have made many swords, but every single one of his swords has always been in perfect form and shape. Ussually when a person starts out swordmaking their first works are ussually of poor quality. Yet he is able to make swords of such sheer high quality and design that it is very prodigious. Surely he has so much skill because he is very talented, you can say he was born to be a swordmaker and make some damn good swords. I have actually had the pleasure on more then one occassion to meet him and hold his swords. And when you hold his swords, you know that they were made with some serious dedication and care. I believe he can only continue to become a better and better swordmaker for everyone to awe at.

Fixinman has to be the oldest swordmaker on DeviantART, however he is by far the most modest and humble swordmaker I have ever seen. He is always astonished and amazed by the swords made by other swordmakers, and it is from this that he draws inspiriation and determination to make better swords. However it isn't just his modesty which makes him a decent man but his kindness is truly phenomonal he does have a heart of gold going as far as giving possible his best handmade sword away that he worked on for months completely free to a girl. I have never seen such kindess before in the swordmaking world, he even makes tutorials and is always willing to answer any questions you might give. If that was not good enough he has surely proven himself over time that he is among the finest swordmakers on DeviantART with his care and skill.

No other swordmaker I have ever known on DeviantART has impressed me so much, and so quickly. His work in swordmaking started out with a quality much higher then average. However it was only after a long period of time when he returned to swordmaking did you notice a huge difference. The swords he had produced became "perfect" surely every artist makes some flaws in there works, but it is much easier to tell in swordmaking. However looking at those same swords again, and again it is simply flawless! All I see is some extremely well made swords that never fail to impress and wonder. He is also a master of painting when it comes to the metal sheen look as he has pretty much gotten it down right identical to polished steel, which is a skill I have been experimenting with for years. To see such a swordmaker like him is very rare.

I think it is pretty much impossible that someone can not feature piratecaptain, he is an incredibly decorated swordmaker with a list of achievements that seem limitless, much like his ever improving skill in swordmaking. He will be the most passionate and hard working swordmakers you will come across, because he started swordmaking way back in DeviantArt before it actually ever became noticed. He has stayed loyal and true to his oaths such as only ever using hand tools as respect to people in the past who did the same. He also writes a number of tutorials to help others do their swordmaking as well, and this shows his generosity and kindnes and his willingness to teach. Yes his work is always somthing to behold because he always finds new ways to challenge and improve himelf. Truly he is a master of swordmaking on DeviantART.

C-C-C-Combo Breaker! I see a male cosplayer on the horizen! it must be a mirage! nope its a guy actually cosplaying and excellently I might add. Back when I first started it was with Kozuma's help that I was able to learn alot about photo editing, which I sucked back then and still suck now. Cosplaying has, and always been a female activity, guys cosplay sure, but guys who do it well are even rarer. Kozuma is a guy who knows how to cosplay its in his blood its what makes him go to bed at night happy. Not only is he a complete wizard at photo editing and graphics he has the looks to melt girls feelings. The word "Handsome" can only be used once in my features, and he gets the right to have it because if this guy went down another path in life, he would be a lady killer. I wish him all the best of luck in his future cosplay and his career.

Beautiful. That is all that is needed to be said. Nah just kidding Miss charu-ri was my very first watcher and my first friend on DA, thus we have known eachother our entire DA lives, and it has been a good life. She was one of the first people to really introduce me to the world of cosplaying. In her eyes cosplaying was an expression of great fun and art, she had fun while cosplaying, and when she cosplayed she did so at a high level. She represents what all cosplayers should amount to, and that is to be hardworking and to have fun. Not only does she cosplay fantastically but she has a beautifull smile and expression which feels as warm as the morning sun. She is as elegant as an angel and is just as beautiful as one. However in the end what makes her so special is her kind and caring personality, a heart made of solid gold.

I had seen her cosplays one year ago and they were fantastic, one year on when I find myself back at her page, she has grown to become an even more remarkable cosplayer. She has hundreds, hundreds! well maybe not hundreds, but she has a staggering amount of cosplays more then you can shake a stick at! With so many cosplays it can only mean one thing, and that is she is extremely experienced in all things cosplay. Her cosplays are always made with great detail and care and yet she always improves her skills every cosplay she undertakes. The older she gets the more her looks mature and her beauty increases allowing a more diversity of cosplays. She just keeps cosplaying, she never stops, shes like a machine! With such a long and amazing history of cosplays she is honored and respected by cosplayers all over the world for her talent and grace.

When I see a duel account used by two different people I am always amazed at how much they can acomplished. And surely these two girls are well accomplished cosplayers because each cosplay they undertake they always raise the bar to achieve higher goals! When the two work together they are very able of creating any cosplay no matter how large or how detailed and will it always do it with confidence. With such confidence there skills at craftsmanship is truly amazing, they really both do have an eye of detail especially how one of the girls has come a long way from knowing nothing about sewing! Though if you ever do meet them its not just their skills that impress its also there amazing and fashionable looks that never fail to stun. They are a true testament that when two or more people work together some truly amazing can be born.

The UK is a tiny island floating in the alantic ocean, and it is a country behind in the rest of the world when it comes to cosplaying. However there is one women with the ability to captivate and audience and really put the UK on the map as a proud cosplaying nation! Miss Efia is a remarkable cosplayer with a talent that inspires thousands all over the world. Her cosplays are made of intense skill and precision, she indeed has excellent craftsmanship skills, yet with the help of a photographer the character she cosplays comes alive! Skills alone will take you so far, however she has a very captivating beauty that could make a room fall scilence. With a simple smile and a flutter of her lashes the cosplay transforms into somthing very beautifull. Knowing a cosplayer like her exists in the UK gives people confidence.
